Description

The UHMWPE Chemical Anti-static Suction and Discharge Hose is engineered for the safe transfer of a wide variety of aggressive chemicals in both suction and discharge operations. Its construction, featuring an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) inner liner, ensures superior chemical resistance, making it ideal for handling highly corrosive liquids, acids, solvents, and other hazardous fluids in industrial environments.

1. Construction

  • Inner Liner: Made from UHMWPE (Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene), the inner liner offers outstanding chemical resistance, suitable for transferring corrosive substances such as acids, alkalis, and organic solvents. The liner is non-stick and smooth, ensuring optimal flow rates and preventing fluid contamination.
  • Reinforcement: The hose is reinforced with high-tensile synthetic cords, textile plies, or spiral steel wire, providing the necessary strength to withstand both suction and discharge pressures. This reinforcement also enhances the hose’s flexibility and durability in tough environments.
  • Outer Cover: The outer layer is crafted from EPDM or a chemical-resistant synthetic rubber, offering excellent protection against environmental factors such as weather, abrasion, and ozone, as well as resistance to wear and tear during industrial handling.

2. Standard Sizes

  • Inner Diameter: Available in a range of sizes from 1 inch (25mm) to 8 inches (200mm), depending on the volume of fluid to be transferred.
  • Length: Standard lengths typically range from 10 meters to 20 meters, with custom lengths available to meet specific operational needs.

3. Working Pressure

  • The hose is designed for medium to high-pressure suction and discharge applications, with a typical working pressure range of 10 to 16 bars (145 to 232 psi), depending on size and construction.

4. Vacuum Rating

  • The hose is built to handle full suction (vacuum) during operations, with a vacuum rating typically at 29 inches of mercury (Hg), ensuring efficient suction in industrial applications.

5. Temperature Range

  • The hose can operate in a wide temperature range, typically from -40°C to 80°C (-40°F to 176°F), making it suitable for a variety of environmental and operational conditions.

6. End Fittings

  • The hose is equipped with corrosion-resistant fittings, such as stainless steel, polypropylene, or PTFE, ensuring safe connections for suction and discharge operations. The fittings can be flanged, threaded, or camlock type, based on the application.
  • The fittings are designed to resist corrosion from chemicals, ensuring leak-free and secure connections.
